Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Officer to provide essential administrative assistance within the Housing Allocations department. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver guidance and support to clients regarding the Council's housing register.
  • Assist the Allocations Manager with the daily management of Keyways, the Council's choice-based allocations system.
  • Provide administrative support for the associated IT systems.
  • Process housing applications adhering to established standards and timelines.
  • Communicate application statuses to all housing applicants and guide them on how to bid.
  • Address applicants' inquiries related to the Keyways scheme through various communication channels.
  • Ensure accurate entry of completed housing applications into the software system, escalating queries to the Allocations Manager as needed.
  • Compile property information and promote available properties.
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in an office environment focused on customer service, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize workloads efficiently.
