We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our esteemed manufacturing client based in Corby. This role is pivotal in supporting the Purchasing Manager and the Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in achieving cost reductions and operational efficiency through supplier management.
  • Engage in negotiations regarding purchase costs and terms, while exploring alternative suppliers as necessary.
  • Oversee the performance management of materials and services to ensure alignment with target costs, lead times, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with departmental management on annual budget planning and cost assessments for upcoming projects.
  • Lead supplier discussions, place orders, negotiate prices for larger consignments, and request quotations.
  • Generate Purchase Orders and manage material returns, including crediting processes.

Administrative Duties: This role will also encompass various administrative tasks related to procurement.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and demonstrate exceptional communication and negotiation skills. A friendly and proactive approach, along with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, is essential.

You will receive personalized support to familiarize yourself with the company's processes and procedures. This position is well-suited for individuals with experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or similar roles.
