Job Title: Health and Safety Manager - Construction (Permanent)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Hunter Mason Consulting Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of our health and safety policies and procedures across all business and project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor health and safety performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance and support to site managers and staff.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement health and safety plans, risk assessments, and training programs.
  • Provide expert advice on health and safety matters, including legislative requirements, risk management, and accident investigation.
  • Lead or assist in health and safety support on larger projects, attending pre-start meetings, and maintaining accurate safety records.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in health and safety management in the construction industry, preferably in the partitions, internals, or fit-out sectors.
  • NEBOSH qualification is essential.
  • First aid certification is essential.
  • CSCS Black Card is desirable.
  • CDM (Construction Design and Management Regulations) knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to travel to sites as required.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English skills.
  • Self-motivated personality with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
