We are recruiting a Technical Coordinator to join our Quality Team in Avonmouth.

The Technical Coordinator supports the Quality Process by compiling, reviewing, and coordinating documentation submitted as part of project life time quality records (LTQR) or project process/procedure/Instruction.

Technical Coordinators have an interdepartmental involvement in the transition and application of new systems and software, supporting the continual improvement objectives of the business.

The role involves providing administration and support services to the manufacturing and QA-QC departments for the project/contract as required.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Document control of inspectors' records, including coordination for rework.
  • Coordinating client comments/responses on quality records with stakeholders.
  • Keeping trackers for all quality records reviewed/submitted and comments raised.
  • Coordinating and controlling inspection records to improve quality/consistency of reporting.
  • Reviewing, compiling, coordinating, and archiving Life time Quality Records (LTQR) and Quality Release Certificates (QRC).
  • Supporting the manufacture team in the preparation of Weld Data Sheets and general administration for Weld-Eye.
  • Setting up systems for performance management, including creating, monitoring, and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPI) on the Right First-Time (RFT) objectives with document submissions.
  • Verifying radiograph count and reports prior to transfer to the client.
  • Effectively organizing and archiving physical and digital records to reduce paper-based records.
  • Reviewing internal documentation, including internal instructions/procedures.
  • Updating documents where technical and non-technical edits are required and re-issuing for submission.
  • Communicating with Project Managers, Engineers, Project Engineers, and subcontractors regarding relevant edits required for uploaded documentation.
  • Reviewing electronic records held on a standalone system.
  • Supporting the document control team with general document control.
  • Greeting and coordinating visiting client or third-party inspectors with relevant personnel.

To be considered for this role, the following qualifications, skills, and experience are required:

  • NVQ 2 or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in document control and/or administration.
  • Good understanding of document management systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft software and IT in general.

The ideal candidate will lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture, be enthusiastic about working in a highly skilled industrial and office environment, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presenting.

The candidate will also be able to demonstrate accountability for their own actions and take responsibility, be highly organized with attention to detail, and possess the desired attributes listed below.

Desired Attributes:

  • Level 3 in an engineering discipline.
  • A-Levels in Science, Maths, IT, or English.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Qualification.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems.
  • Understanding of welding.
  • Understanding of engineering principles.
  • Understanding how to read Engineering Drawings and Weld Maps.
  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing.

In return, we offer a salary of between £27,000 - £33,000 per annum (negotiable) plus excellent benefits, including:
