Registered Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our bank staff at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a bank RMN, you will have the opportunity to work in various departments across the Acute Trust, providing care to patients with complex and enduring mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health needs, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, using evidence-based practice and best available research to inform decision-making.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, and relatives, ensuring that their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Work in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality standards, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, using evidence-based practice and best available research to inform decision-making.
- Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients, carers, and relatives.
- Ability to work in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems, including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
- Mentorship training.
- Other professional development.
- Experience of shift coordination.
- Experience of supervising and mentoring junior staff and students.
- Experience of racial awareness/diversity training.
- IT skills.
- Clinical skills relevant to the post applied for.
- Skilled in the communication of sensitive issues.
- Skilled in supervision of others, and in providing critical and constructive feedback.
