Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to support the EYFS/Reception class in a Widnes-based Primary and Nursery school.

About the Role:

As a teaching assistant in this school, you will work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment for all pupils. Your responsibilities will include supporting pupils in key areas such as phonics, social and emotional development, and learning through play. You will also provide 1:1 and small group sessions to support SEN pupils within the wider classroom.

Requirements:
  • Full "Right to Work" in the UK
  • Minimum of 40 days referenceable experience supporting children and young people in the last two years
  • Experience working within EYFS (early years foundation stage)
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Early Years / Supporting Teaching and Learning is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience working with SEN is advantageous but not essential
