About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable teaching assistant to support the EYFS/Reception class in a Widnes-based Primary and Nursery school. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the reception class in a Widnes-based Primary and Nursery school
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to offer a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Support all pupils in the class, offering 1:1 and small group sessions in key areas including phonics, social and emotional development, and learn through play
  • Support SEN within the wider classroom as required, alongside the allocated 1:1 teaching assistant
Requirements
  • Full "Right to Work" in the UK
  • Minimum of 40 days referenceable experience supporting children and young people in the last two years
  • Experience working within EYFS (early years foundation stage)
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Early Years / Supporting Teaching and Learning is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience working with SEN is advantageous but not essential
