About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS team at a large Primary School in Widnes. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to provide individualized support to a child with Autism and a non-verbal child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a pupil on a 1:1 basis, providing individualized support and encouragement to promote their learning and development.
  • Supervise during learn through play sessions and hold speech and language sessions to support the pupil's communication skills.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support the pupil's transition into primary school.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young children within the last 2 years.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with staff, children, and parents.
  • Current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to acquire one through Hays.
  • Two references from previous employment.
