We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our esteemed team, focusing on the nutritional needs of older adults and stroke patients. This role involves collaborating with senior nutrition professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality dietary services across our healthcare facilities, embodying our organizational values and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive dietary support to patients in the areas of Stroke, Geriatrics, and General Medicine.
  2. Deliver specialized nutritional services, employing effective communication and counseling techniques to facilitate behavior change.
  3. Analyze and interpret complex medical information to develop tailored nutritional plans for patients.
  4. Engage in teaching initiatives, including participation in educational programs for healthcare professionals.
  5. Support the prioritization of team workload and provide clinical guidance as necessary.
  6. Work closely with medical staff to create individualized nutritional treatment strategies as part of holistic patient care.
  7. Educate patients and their families about dietary conditions and ensure access to relevant care information.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Dietitian with a relevant degree and eligibility for registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • Current registration with the Health Care Professions Council as a Dietitian.

Desirable

  • Completion of relevant clinical update courses.
  • Evidence of training in service improvement methodologies.

Experience

Essential

  • Postgraduate experience within the NHS, particularly in the fields of medicine, geriatrics, and stroke care.
  • Experience in providing enhanced nutritional support in clinical settings.
  • Proven ability to deliver care in both acute and outpatient environments.
