**About the Role**

Our team at Brenntag is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of General Manager - (UK Central - Director). This is a key leadership role that requires a strong strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth and improvement.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy to position Brenntag's Last Mile Operations in Central UK as a strategic advantage for our customers and suppliers.
  • Lead the implementation of the Brenntag Essentials division's strategy for growth and customer satisfaction in the areas of sales, customer service, logistics, operations, and safety.
  • Oversee the management of sites, equipment, and personnel, and develop far-sighted capacity, investment, and personnel planning.
  • Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and P&L metrics to measure and improve business performance, including volume, gross profit, personnel, and operating costs.
  • Drive a continuous increase in gross profit while improving conversion rate and working capital metrics for inventory and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain close collaboration with the regional sourcing organization and product management/material management teams through volume, price, and inventory management.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team by clearly communicating guidelines, expectations, and KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with high safety standards and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain documented procedures for work processes in close cooperation with employees on site and specialist departments of higher-level organizational units.
