Job Summary:

AWE Plc is seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team in providing expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters within our Supply Chain Management function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective safety strategies and policies in line with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company guidelines.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Supply Chain Management on health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive safety management system.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a supply chain or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
