We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at AWE Plc. As a key member of our Supply Chain Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide conventional safety advice, guidance, and support to Supply Chain Management with regard to on-boarding Suppliers.
- Follow agreed strategies in line with relevant legislation, industry standards, and AWE's policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Complete data reporting and associated documentation as required.
- Ensure that company strategies, policies, and procedures are implemented and maintained in accordance with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Develop and implement effective safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the energy or manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, industry standards, and company policies.
