About the Role

The Portfolio Group is seeking a highly skilled PR Executive to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for increasing and driving momentum on proactive PR that enhances overall brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Media Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts and journalists to secure media coverage for the company.
  • Content Creation: Write engaging press releases, blogs, and advice columns on topical subjects for industry, regional, and national publications.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement internal communications strategies to engage employees and promote company news and initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and product development teams to drive coverage around new product launches and company announcements.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research to identify new media and PR opportunities to raise the profile of the company and its clients.
  • Stakeholder Management: Support and prepare key senior stakeholders for media and speaking opportunities.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all copy is delivered to brief, on time, and to the required quality and editorial standards.
  • Media Monitoring: Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum two years of experience in PR, including proven work experience as an in-house/agency PR or journalist.
  • Media Relations: Proven experience of media relations, with the ability to develop relationships with key contacts and journalists.
  • Track Record: Demonstrable track record of successful delivery measured against brand awareness and press coverage.
  • Organization and Project Management: Excellent organization and project management skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate confidently, professionally, and proactively with a broad range of people.
  • Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Digital PR Tools: Experience with digital PR tools.
  • Copywriting: Excellent copywriting skills.
  • Creativity and Enthusiasm: Creativity, enthusiasm, curiosity, and a desire to improve.
  • Organization and Time Management: Strong organization and time management skills.
