Job Title: HR Manager

We are partnering exclusively with Eaton Syalon Ltd, a thriving owner-managed SME in Derbyshire, to hire a talented HR Manager to join their leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations Management: Develop and maintain positive employee relations across the business, ensuring a high level of employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Partner with managers to develop and implement effective recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • HR Systems and Practices: Continuously improve HR systems and practices, reviewing and updating company policies as necessary to ensure compliance with employment law and best practice.
  • Performance Management: Coordinate staff appraisals, reviews, and probation meetings, ensuring that employees receive regular feedback and coaching to support their development.
  • Absence Management: Supervise absence management cases, overseeing the process to ensure that employees receive the support they need to manage their absence effectively.
  • Learning and Development: Support the development of employees through learning and development initiatives, working with external training providers to coordinate course attendance and ensure that employees have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
  • HR Information Systems: Maintain and update HR information systems, ensuring that all starter and leaver information is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as an HR Advisor or HR Manager in a standalone or small team environment, with a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of employee legislation and HR best practice, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective way.
  • Skills: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, with a strong sense of initiative and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
