About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Director of People, Organisational Development and Inclusion to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the People Directorate, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of services.
  • Lead and provide solutions to workforce challenges, in accordance with the organisation's strategic aims and objectives.
  • Develop and implement the People Strategy, working closely with senior leaders to drive continuous improvement and innovation in people practice.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to influence positive change and deliver a proactive, professional and high-quality People Service.
  • Proactively lead and manage large programmes of transformational change, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
Requirements
  • Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent professional qualification or equivalent level of experience.
  • Master's Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant area or equivalent level of experience.
  • Full membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (Chartered or Chartered Fellow) or equivalent or equivalent level of experience.
  • Significant experience at a senior level within a role of a similar nature, working in a complex organisation.
  • Proven track record of strong leadership at a senior level, both within the HR & OD brief and more broadly as a corporate leader.
  • Experience of advising at board level and consultation, negotiation and influencing different stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience of having led large programmes of transformational change.
  • Experience of partnership working, including system partners, trades unions and professional associations.
  • Understanding of UK employment legislation and experience in managing workforce issues arising from significant structural re-organisation or service change.
