Main Responsibilities- Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the finance team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services and support to the organization.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the Trust's financial operations are efficient, effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is provided to stakeholders.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies to drive business growth, improve financial performance, and enhance the Trust's financial position.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure the Trust's financial plans and objectives are aligned with its overall strategic direction.
- Ensure the Trust's financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory requirements, providing assurance to stakeholders on the Trust's financial performance.
- Relevant accountancy qualification and current registration with the associated professional body.
- Proven experience of working in a large, complex organization at senior leadership level, with strong persuasion and influencing skills.
- Experience of managing large revenue and capital budgets, with knowledge and understanding of the influence of political context and frameworks on financial practice.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assimilate complex information and provide strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
