Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes. The post is offered as 10 programmed activities (PAs) over five days, with opportunities for flexible working arrangements. We are open to discussing specific job plans that meet the needs of the successful candidate.

The department is committed to achieving a collective work ethos, supporting work-life balance and long-term sustainability. We offer exciting opportunities in Endoscopy, Emergency Department interface, and acute care, as well as teaching, research, and quality improvement projects.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a higher medical qualification (MRCP or equivalent) and be on the GMC Specialist Register for Gastroenterology or within twelve months of obtaining the CCT at the time of the interview. A familiarity with service organisation and development would be advantageous.
