Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day activities to ensure timely and accurate execution of tasks and adherence to stringent service levels.
  • Resolve issues and liaise with customers in a professional and courteous manner to meet department and customer needs.
  • Process information, communicate effectively across teams, and with clients to ensure seamless operations.
  • Produce monthly service performance reports, including regulatory reports, analysis of key metrics, and providing meaningful insights.
  • Undertake operational acceptance testing of new or revised IT system functionality.
  • Monitor and maintain industry data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and up-to-dateness for month-end billing.
  • Validate pre-invoices, manage tariff mismatches, and identify missing consumption data.
  • Bill electricity/gas suppliers for Non-Half Hourly and Half Hourly customers.
  • Resolve billing issues and liaise with customers to ensure department and customer needs are met.
  • Reconcile invoices with subsequent data and determine appropriate actions.
  • Provide billing performance reporting, analysis, and meaningful insights.
  • Implement change across systems and/or process improvements.
  • Assist with other back-office operational activities.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an analytical or process-driven role, preferably within the utilities sector (gas or electricity), or demonstrable experience in dealing directly with and resolving enquiries and issues on behalf of multiple customers.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Demonstrable ability to take ownership of problems, working with the customer to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Well-organized with a methodical approach to work and excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills to quantify and manipulate data, identify anomalies, and provide meaningful insights.
  • Flexible approach and willingness to adapt to new tasks and duties.
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately.
  • Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm and a good team player willing to support others.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
