Accident and Emergency Nurse Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our peripatetic Ward 21 team as a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities:- To practice as a professional nurse, demonstrating confidence, authority, and expertise in the assessment and delivery of care.
- To be accountable for the assessment of care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs of care, and setting and monitoring standards.
- To act as a patient advocate, ensuring a caring environment that meets the physical and psychological needs of patients.
- To provide expert clinical advice and support to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- To evaluate current clinical practice, leading audits and implementing changes to maintain and improve standards of care.
- To maintain accurate and legible records of care, adhering to the Code of Professional Conduct.
- To liaise with healthcare professionals to promote health, welfare, and care of patients.
- To lead a team approach to patient care, emphasizing clinical development and research-based practice.
Essential:
- Registered Nurse qualification
- ENB 998 (Preparation for mentorship) or equivalent post-registration clinical qualifications
Desirable:
- Diploma/degree in nursing studies or working towards
- Management/team leading qualification
Experience and Knowledge:
Essential:
- Extensive years' recent experience at Senior Staff Nurse level with at least one year in acute Medicine
- Extensive years' post-registration experience
Desirable:
- Management experience and/or experience of leading a team
