Referral Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Referral Support Specialist at Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (857). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-focused environment, supporting the Referral Support Service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, GPs, and healthcare providers, ensuring a smooth referral process.
- Act as a point of contact for all referrals, responding to queries and escalating issues as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with the Team Coordinators to ensure efficient referral processing.
- Utilize administrative systems and processes to manage referrals, maintaining accurate records and confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, promoting good customer service and effective communication.
- Excellent writing, data entry, and telephone skills, with the ability to work with diverse individuals and organizations.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrate diplomacy, tact, and assertive behavior in appropriate measures and at appropriate times.
- Ability to maintain concentration and manage frequent interruptions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and trust.
- Keyboard skills and proficiency in administrative systems and processes.
- Education to NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification.
- In-depth understanding of administrative systems and processes.
- Significant experience working in busy and demanding administrative environments, providing a service to multiple users/customers.
Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (857) is responsible for planning and arranging the provision of NHS services to meet the diverse health needs of a population of over 1.5 million people. Our area spans over 1,500 square miles, including the cities of Hull and York, and large rural areas across East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, and Northern Lincolnshire.
