We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Referral Administrator to join our team at Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB). As a key member of our Referral Support Service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth processing of first outpatient referrals for patients registered in the Vale of York and Scarborough and Ryedale area.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Team Co-ordinators, ensuring a seamless referral process for individual patients. You will act as a point of contact for all referrals entering the service, including queries relating to patients wishing to access referral pathways, GPs/Practices staff, and provider services.

- Work as part of a RSS team to ensure this support is delivered, using your own initiative to respond to unexpected and sometimes unusual, highly emotive and/or sensitive issues, escalating them to senior colleagues where appropriate.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent administrative and customer service skills, a proven background in a customer-focused role, and a good understanding of confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent writing, data entry, and telephone skills, able to work with a wide range of individuals and organizations.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to work flexibly and effectively as part of a team.
- Able to work on own initiative, organizing and prioritizing own workload to set deadlines.
- Demonstrate diplomacy, tact, and assertive behavior in appropriate measure and at appropriate times.
- Ability to maintain concentration and manage frequent interruptions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and trust.
