Director of Nursing for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Nursing for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities to lead and deliver outstanding nursing services across our mental health and learning disabilities sectors.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will provide and take responsibility for Nursing and leadership, building, motivating and developing a team of nurses, to drive forward service transformation across MH&LD services.
As a member of the MH&LD Senior Leadership and Management Team, the Director of Nursing will hold responsibility jointly with other members of the MH&LD team for the strategic direction, and operational delivery of services.
The Director of Nursing is professionally accountable for the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care for services within the sphere of responsibility.
Key Requirements- Registered Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse with current NMC registration
- Masters level qualification in management/leadership or equivalent knowledge and extensive experience to Masters level in a senior leadership role within the area of speciality
- Evidence of Continuous Professional development
- In depth professional specialist knowledge and experience of managing a number of disciplines acquired through training and experience over a significant period
