Senior Mental Health Professional

About This Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mental Health Professional to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional care to individuals experiencing mental health crises who contact emergency services.
Reporting directly to the Clinical Support Desk Manager, you will work independently and autonomously, utilizing your expertise to assess situations, provide immediate support, and guide individuals towards appropriate resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert mental health assessment and intervention for individuals in crisis via telephone triage and emergency response.
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills to effectively manage complex situations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and continuity of treatment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for mental health crisis response.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all patient interactions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Recent experience as a Band 6 (or higher) nurse or social worker with a proven track record in emergency, unscheduled care, and telephone triage environments.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and concise interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, demonstrating resilience in challenging situations.
Welsh Language Skills
Proficiency in Welsh is advantageous for this role. Applicants who are fluent in Welsh and/or English are encouraged to apply.
