About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Gates Corporation. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment and process machinery, including PLC's and Electrical Drive Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
  • PLC and Electrical Drive Systems: Troubleshoot and repair issues with PLC's and Electrical Drive Systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training apprentices and provide guidance on best practices, ensuring the development of a skilled and knowledgeable team.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental: Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company and legislative safety, compliance, and environmental procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: City & Guild or SVQ Level 3 (Electrical) qualification and time-served electrician experience.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLC's, and Electrical Drive Systems, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Desirable Experience: Detailed understanding of Siemens PLC logic, programming, fault diagnosis, and repair, as well as previous work with Industrial Robotics.
