JOIN OUR TEAM:
Become a part of the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, where we focus on maintaining and enhancing technologies within the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.

ROLE PURPOSE:
We are seeking a proactive technician who enjoys collaborative work. The primary responsibility involves ensuring the safe and high-standard maintenance of our equipment. By concentrating on planned preventative maintenance, you will actively mitigate risks by identifying and resolving issues. Enhancing equipment availability and quality is a daily focus. Our technicians prioritize the needs of our operational teams, supported by their colleagues and leadership.

WORK SCHEDULE:
This position requires flexibility, including non-traditional shifts that may encompass nights and weekends.

LOCATION:
This role may involve responsibilities across multiple sites.

ON-CALL DUTIES:
This position includes on-call responsibilities for emergency situations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prioritize health and safety best practices in all tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance on a comprehensive range of site equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, communicating effectively with all affected parties and working efficiently to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing breakdowns and providing feedback and suggestions for enhancements through the line manager.
  • Ensure high levels of equipment availability for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians.
  • Oversee contractor management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of a full engineering apprenticeship and/or a minimum qualification of NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Proficient in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Skilled in fault-finding within Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and automation systems.
  • Able to interpret both mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Experience in maintaining conveyor systems and motor controllers/inverters.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, BSc, or BEng qualifications.
  • Experience with high voltage switching.
  • Familiarity with sortation machinery.
  • Experience in maintaining and configuring barcode scanners.
  • Knowledge of print and apply machinery.
  • Experience in troubleshooting building systems such as HVAC, dock doors, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.
