**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Engineer to join our team at Vertiv. As a key member of our Generator & Switchgear Services team, you will assist our experienced engineers in delivering high-quality services to our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Complete any training, either internally or externally delivered, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist engineers with standard service activities, including load bank and building load test proving, major and minor diesel servicing.
  • Assist engineers with carrying out contract maintenance and inspection on a planned basis to Vertiv standards.
  • Assist engineers in fault finding and rectification in both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
  • Assist engineers with the installation of temporary generating plant.
  • Assist engineers with the commissioning of generator installations.
  • Assist engineers to identify opportunities for extra works and recommendations.
  • Assist engineers to carry out remedial work to contract customers, either planned repairs or as part of a call-out facility.
  • Comply with all Company Health and Safety Requirements.
  • Ensure that any activity, task, and responsibility required by the role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program itself.
