**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Engineer to join our team at Vertiv. As a key member of our Generator & Switchgear Services team, you will assist our experienced engineers with various tasks, including training, maintenance, and installation of generator and switchgear systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in completing training programs, both internal and external, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support Vertiv engineers with standard service activities, including load bank and building load test proving, major and minor diesel servicing.
  • Assist in carrying out contract maintenance and inspection on a planned basis to Vertiv standards.
  • Support Vertiv engineers in fault finding and rectification in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Assist in the installation of temporary generating plant.
  • Support Vertiv engineers with the commissioning of generator installations.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for extra works (SQD) and recommendations.
  • Support Vertiv engineers in carrying out remedial work to contract customers, either planned repairs or as part of a call-out facility.
  • Comply with all Company Health and Safety Requirements.
  • Ensure that any activity, task, and responsibility required by the role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program itself.
