Position Overview

Role Summary:

We are in search of a proficient Mainframe Quality Assurance Specialist with significant expertise in Payment systems within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute comprehensive testing of mainframe-driven payment solutions, encompassing transaction management, batch processing, and integration with third-party systems.
  • Create and implement test scenarios, scripts, and methodologies to validate application performance, functionality, and compliance with business specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with business analysts, software developers, and project stakeholders to grasp project requirements and guarantee thorough test coverage.
  • Conduct system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing to confirm modifications and improvements.
  • Detect, evaluate, and document defects and issues identified during testing, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution.
  • Oversee test environments, test data, and testing documentation to facilitate ongoing testing efforts.
  • Engage in test planning, estimation, and review sessions to ensure testing objectives are met within the designated timeline.
  • Deliver progress reports, testing outcomes, and metrics to project teams and management stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Mainframe Quality Assurance Specialist, particularly in Payment systems and the financial services sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mainframe technologies (e.g., COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS) and payment standards (e.g., ISO 8583, SWIFT).
  • Strong grasp of payment processing workflows, including clearing and settlement operations.
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as IBM Rational Functional Tester, HP Quality Center, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Python) is advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.
