About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Special Educational Needs Support Assistant to join our Year 3 team. This full-time role is focused on providing support to children with special educational needs (SEN) and creating an inclusive, nurturing educational atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Individualized Support:

Offer personalized assistance to Year 3 students with special educational needs, enabling them to engage with the curriculum and reach their full potential.


Classroom Support:
Collaborate with the class teacher to prepare and implement engaging learning activities that cater to the needs of SEN students.

Behavioral Support:
Employ positive behavior management strategies to foster a productive learning environment.

Personal Assistance:
Provide necessary personal care and support, ensuring the dignity and well-being of all students.

Monitoring Progress:
Observe and document student progress, offering constructive feedback to educators and families to aid ongoing development.

Team Collaboration:

Work in partnership with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff members to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailor learning activities to individual requirements.


Promoting Inclusion:
Foster an inclusive classroom culture that encourages active participation and engagement from all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience:
Proven experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.

Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.

Knowledge:
Familiarity with SEN practices and strategies to support diverse learning needs.

Commitment:
Willingness to engage in a long-term role and contribute to the ongoing development of students.
