About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part Time Financial Manager to join our team at Dovetail Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our steadily growing company based in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support with accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Manage the sales order process, including creating draft invoices, credit control, and liaising with clients to provide supporting documentation.
  • Assist with the purchase process, including managing supplier purchase orders, paying deposits, and ensuring accurate duty and VAT payments.
  • Monitor and maintain cash flow forecasts in multiple currencies, and business budget forecasts and comparisons.
  • Perform data entry of financial transactions, balance ledgers, and assist with bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, as well as assist in preparing HMRC/VAT returns.
Requirements
  • A high level of numeracy skills, with a minimum of 5 GCSEs to include Maths and English to Level 4 or above.
  • Previous accounts experience, with strong Excel skills and a bonus AAT qualification or similar.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team.
