Position Overview:

A Service Engineer is sought for a leading provider of filling, sealing, and packaging solutions tailored for the food sector. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert guidance, maintenance, and support for a comprehensive range of products.
  • Engage in fieldwork that may require travel both domestically and internationally for extended periods.
  • Report directly to the Service Manager and utilize your extensive Mechanical and Electrical engineering experience.
  • Perform installation and commissioning of machinery at client locations, ensuring personnel are trained on equipment usage.
  • Maintain adherence to Health & Safety protocols and Method Statement documentation during all operations.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding breakdown repairs, maintenance, and production support.
  • Generate detailed service reports in a timely manner.
  • Document and communicate any modifications made on-site to the Service Manager for appropriate action.
  • Represent the company professionally and foster strong customer relationships to encourage ongoing collaboration.
  • Ensure service vehicles are maintained in a clean and operational condition.
  • Be accessible via mobile phone during on-call hours.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Possess a technical degree or relevant certification.
  • Demonstrated background in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, with familiarity in PLC systems.
  • A minimum of two years of proven experience in field service or maintenance roles.
  • Experience with automated packaging machinery is advantageous.
  • Capable of troubleshooting technical equipment independently.
  • Exhibit flexibility and efficiency, adapting swiftly to changing work demands.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license with a clean driving record.

Benefits:
