Service Engineer Opportunity

Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join a leading provider of filling, sealing, and packaging solutions tailored for the food sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established team.

Role Overview:

This position is a professional technical role where you will deliver expert maintenance, support, and guidance to clients across our diverse product range. The role is primarily field-based, requiring travel within the UK and potentially overseas for extended periods. Overtime may be necessary based on installation demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and commissioning of machinery at client locations, along with training relevant personnel on the operation of equipment.
  • Conduct all tasks safely, adhering to Health & Safety regulations and Method Statement protocols.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding breakdown repairs, maintenance, and production support.
  • Generate detailed and timely service reports.
  • Document and communicate all modifications performed on-site to the Service Manager for proper registration and follow-up.
  • Represent the company professionally and foster customer relationships to encourage ongoing and future collaborations.
  • Maintain service vehicles in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
  • Be accessible via mobile phone during on-call hours.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical degree or relevant certification.
  • Experience in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, with knowledge of PLC systems.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in field service or maintenance roles.
  • Familiarity with automated packaging machinery and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for technical equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing work schedules while maintaining efficiency.
  • Valid UK driving license with a clean driving record.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £38,000 to £40,000, plus on-target earnings.
  • 39-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
