Position Overview:

A Service Engineer is sought to join a leading provider of filling, sealing, and packaging solutions tailored for the food sector. This role is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert maintenance and support across the complete range of products.
  • Travel extensively within the UK and internationally, with potential trips lasting up to three weeks.
  • Perform installations and commissioning of machinery at client locations, along with training personnel on the equipment.
  • Ensure all tasks are executed safely, adhering to Health & Safety regulations and Method Statements.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests for repairs, maintenance, and production support.
  • Generate detailed service reports in a timely manner.
  • Document and communicate all modifications made on-site to the Service Manager for proper registration and follow-up.
  • Represent the company professionally and foster strong customer relationships to encourage ongoing collaborations.
  • Maintain service vehicles in a clean and operational condition.
  • Be available for out-of-hours call-outs as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical degree or relevant certification.
  • Experience in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, with knowledge of PLC systems.
  • A minimum of two years of proven experience in field service or maintenance roles.
  • Familiarity with automated packaging machinery and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility and efficiency in adapting to changing work schedules.
  • A valid UK driving license with a clean driving record.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £38,000 to £40,000 plus OTE.
  • Standard working hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
