Job Title: Logistics Engineer

As a Logistics Engineer at MPI Offshore Limited, you will play a crucial role in providing detailed input regarding the cost of mobilisation and demobilisation, logistics infrastructure, customs regime for import and export of project equipment, vessels, and marshalling yards. Your expertise will be essential in capturing this information into a customs and logistics plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with marine hire specialists to secure transport for key packages and appoint associated agents.
  • Take ownership of the logistics scope and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with trade and customs regulations, hazardous goods, and Incoterms.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field, or relevant experience.
  • Experience in a similar international logistics role, preferably within an offshore wind project organisation.
  • Knowledge of shipping terms, transport documents, and contracts.
  • Familiarity with logistics-related matters such as trade and customs compliance, hazardous goods, and Incoterms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present complex information in a structured commercial manner.
  • Strong communication and social skills, with a customer-focused attitude and organisational sensitivity.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment, with a willingness to travel occasionally to project locations and the Netherlands office.
