About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at STARK Building Materials UK. As a key member of our Property department, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse range of new and refurbishment projects across our portfolio of approximately 600 branches.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing construction and refurbishment projects from inception to completion, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and project delivery. You will work closely with internal departments, external consultants, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction and refurbishment projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and suppliers to ensure project success.
  • Establish and arrange external resources required to deliver projects, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Collaborate with branch operations teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project targets are achieved.
  • Ensure works are carried out to a high standard and projects are closed out to meet statutory compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience working in a similar role, preferably in a merchant or retail environment.
  • Ideal candidate will be MRICS or CIOB qualified.
  • Ability to work nationally, with occasional travel required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and develop relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Possess a full driving license.
  • Ability to work alone on their own initiative, self-managing and prioritizing their own workload.
