About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Ecclesiastical Insurance Group. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of risk and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Annual Risk and Compliance Monitoring Programme: You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Annual Risk and Compliance Monitoring Programme, ensuring that all aspects of risk and compliance are effectively managed.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulatory Requirements: You will work closely with our Heads of Risk and Compliance to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met, and that our organization remains compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and Implement Compliance Standards: You will be responsible for developing and implementing compliance standards and procedures, ensuring that all employees understand and adhere to these standards.
  • Conduct Audits and Reviews: You will conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure that our organization is operating within the required standards, and that any issues identified are addressed promptly.
  • Deliver Training and Competence Plans: You will develop and deliver training and competence plans to ensure that all employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage risk and compliance effectively.
  • Prepare and Complete Regulatory Returns: You will be responsible for preparing and completing regulatory returns, such as the Gabriel Return and Value Measures reporting.
  • Develop and Implement Risk and Compliance Monitoring Plans: You will develop and implement risk and compliance monitoring plans to ensure that our organization remains aware of potential risks and takes proactive steps to mitigate them.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Changes: You will stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and ensure that our organization remains compliant with these changes.
Requirements
  • Recognized Industry and/or Professional Qualification: You will have a recognized industry and/or professional qualification, such as a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
  • Commitment to Work towards the ICO Advanced Certificate in Compliance: You will be committed to working towards the ICO Advanced Certificate in Compliance.
  • Consultative Approach to Business Relationship Management: You will have a consultative approach to business relationship management, proactively sharing best practices with others.
  • Knowledge of FCA Reporting: You will have knowledge of FCA reporting via the online Connect and RegData system.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory and Legislative Requirements: You will have knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative requirements, including the ICO, FSCS, and other relevant bodies.
