Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Food and Beverage Chief Steward to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the back of house during the night, working closely with the Back of House Manager to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of all back of house areas, including storage, dishwashing, and waste management.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage stock is properly received, stored, and rotated to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Assist in the training and development of Food and Beverage Stewards, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance and skills.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Back of House Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in a 5-star hotel or upscale restaurant.
  • Proven track record of maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols, with a minimum of CIEH Level Two certification.
