About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pensions Calculations Technician to join our team at WTW. As a key member of our Outsourcing Business, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and development for the automation of pension calculations, letters, and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Solution Development: Analyze client requirements and develop technical solutions for calculation automation implementation and letter configuration for new clients and enhancement support to existing clients.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with several teams and developers, communicating technical requirements and implementing solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve technical problems encountered during development and/or post-implementation, escalating sensitive problems to senior team members as appropriate.
  • Knowledge Development: Develop own in-depth specialist knowledge and serve as a key resource across the team and organization.
  • Relationship Building: Develop relationships with other business areas to gain a strong understanding of products and services as well as key business processes.
  • Best Practices: Share best practices of coding and development with the team to encourage continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  • Pensions Administration Experience: Ideally, someone with experience in Pensions Administration having strong knowledge of technical systems and/or automated calculations.
  • DB and DC Pension Schemes: Knowledgeable on DB and DC occupational pension schemes and how it translates to pension calculation and letter configuration.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in developing and managing the delivery of system/software development projects in a structured environment throughout the entire lifecycle including QA.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifies and leads the implementation of continuous improvement items with the support of a Technical/Team supervisor or a Manager.
  • Technical Skills: Experience on source code control systems is good to have, as well as experience on code quality, performance, and security.
  • Communication Skills: Strong logical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team Environment: Willingness to work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment that has tight deadlines.
