The Visitor Engagement & Operations Team collaborates closely with various departments to enrich the quality and substance of our visitor offerings.
Our properties are renowned for their historical significance and beautiful landscapes, attracting a diverse audience and aiming to expand our reach through improved visitor services and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Visitor Operations and Experience Manager, you will join a committed team dedicated to excellence.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing an inspiring and interactive visitor program, playing a crucial role in achieving our strategic goals across multiple domains, including cultural programming, community involvement, and promoting our environmental initiatives.
Your programming efforts will aim to foster both repeat and new visits, catering to a wide range of audiences and encouraging deeper connections with our mission. You will collaborate with various teams and external partners to ensure a high-quality and consistent array of experiences.
You will also lead the growth of our travel and tourism sector by identifying opportunities to enhance our market presence and shaping our group offerings to drive commercial success.
As part of the duty management team, you will oversee the daily visitor experience, managing a full-time Programming & Partnerships Officer and a flexible team of Service Assistants to ensure seamless execution of all activities.
You will contribute to project work related to visitor offerings and the execution of our business plan, championing our inclusive strategy and working to broaden our audience base.
This role will require some weekend work as part of the duty management schedule and visitor program activities.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Proven experience in delivering creative and inclusive engagement activities within the arts, culture, heritage, or visitor attraction sectors.
- A track record of collaborative work with community, educational, and cultural partners.
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for staff and volunteers.
- An understanding of audience engagement strategies, with the capability to assess and utilize insights for program development.
- Experience in daily operations and event management, including budget oversight and long-term strategic planning.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
