Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at a leading water utility company. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the optimal performance and safety of all electrical systems within our water production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of electrical equipment to guarantee efficient operation.
  • Utilize both proactive and reactive maintenance strategies to address any faults or failures promptly.
  • Engage in minor installation projects and assist with electrical troubleshooting and emergency repairs to maintain continuous plant operations.
  • Investigate and resolve plant malfunctions swiftly to minimize process disruptions.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to junior technicians, sharing your knowledge of current electrical practices.
  • Work with a variety of equipment, including motors, pumps, control systems, and valves, ensuring their proper functionality.
  • Participate in a standby rota and complete necessary training to operate within the water treatment processes.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Possession of the 18th Edition electrical City and Guilds certification is essential.
  • Experience in electrical systems, ideally gained through an apprenticeship or similar training.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 in mechanical engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record in maintaining and repairing electrical plant equipment, particularly large pumps and control systems.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations relevant to the electrical and water industries.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in confined spaces are required.
  • A valid UK driving license is necessary for this role.
