We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at a water production facility. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems within our facilities through both proactive and reactive maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of electrical equipment to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical faults, performing repairs swiftly to minimize operational disruptions.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support, leveraging current industry knowledge, and assist in training junior technical staff as needed.
- Work on a variety of equipment including motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and control systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in a standby rota, ready to respond to emergencies and urgent maintenance needs.
- Complete necessary training to operate various systems and understand water treatment processes.
- Possession of the 18th Edition electrical City and Guilds certification is essential.
- Experience in electrical systems, ideally gained through an apprenticeship or equivalent training.
- NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 in mechanical engineering is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proven track record in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical plant equipment.
- Experience with large pumps, actuated valves, and electronic control systems is highly desirable.
- Strong awareness of health and safety regulations pertinent to the industry.
- Physical fitness is required for the role, including the ability to work in confined spaces.
- A valid UK driving licence is mandatory.
- Competitive salary up to £39,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and skills.
