We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Shop Manager to join our team at East Anglia's Children's Hospices. As a Retail Shop Manager - Relief, you will be responsible for managing our retail shops in East Anglia, ensuring they maximize their turnover while minimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Volunteer Management: Coordinate volunteer effort to ensure that the shops are well-staffed and motivated, allowing them to develop to their individual potential.
- Store Operations: Maintain a high standard of display, presentation, and cleanliness throughout the shops, ensuring they are visually appealing and welcoming to customers.
- Inventory Management: Manage and undertake the sorting, moving, and storage of a high volume of donated goods, ensuring they are processed efficiently and effectively.
- Financial Management: Ensure that all monies are banked, and financial returns are completed on a weekly basis, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Security: Take responsibility for all aspects of security, including stock, premises, money, and volunteers/staff, ensuring the shops are secure and compliant with regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous Retail Experience: Previous experience in retail, preferably in a charity shop setting, is preferred but not essential.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate a team of volunteers, lead by example, and make informed decisions to drive sales and revenue growth.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to last-minute changes, work independently, and problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.
