Structural Technician Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Revit Technician to join our growing team in Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects within the building structures sector.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to transform designs and sketches into detailed structural models and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Conduct clash detection checks to ensure seamless integration of structural models with other disciplines.
  • Participate in coordination workshops and actively contribute to a collaborative environment.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing model and drawing information effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Your Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in structural modeling.

  • Proven experience in building or heavy civil structures using Revit/BIM.
  • Solid understanding of reinforced concrete frame and steelwork modeling techniques.
  • Experience coordinating structural models with other disciplines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD to complement 3D work.
  • A willingness to learn new concepts and software, staying abreast of industry advancements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Attributes:
  • Experience with CADS RC detailing software.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks or Solibri software.
  • Knowledge of PAS 1192 standards.
  • Prior use of project CDEs such as Asite, 4 Projects, or ProjectWise.
Education:

A relevant HNC is desirable but not essential.
