THE COMPANY:

ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Finance Administrator, your duties will encompass managing the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, and conducting Bank Reconciliations. You will also oversee Payments, Expenses, and Credit Control, ensuring smooth financial operations.

This role is ideal for someone who appreciates a diverse range of responsibilities and enjoys taking ownership of transactional finance tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sales Ledger Management - including invoicing and credit control.
2. Ensure accurate income reconciliation for the correct accounting periods.
3. Purchase Ledger Management - handling supplier invoices and payments.
4. Assist with BACS runs and Bank Payments using accounting software.
5. Process employee business expenses, particularly regarding company credit cards.
6. Allocate expense transactions to the appropriate Nominal Codes in accordance with the company budget.
7. Support the Finance Manager with bank reconciliations and year-end adjustments, including accruals and prepayments.
8. Address finance-related inquiries for online transactions.
9. Process Credit Card payments and refunds efficiently.
10. Post Sales Invoices accurately in the accounting system using the correct nominal codes.
11. Conduct credit control by following up on overdue invoices and resolving customer queries.
12. Match Purchase Invoices to Purchase Orders and obtain necessary authorizations.
13. Assist with regular payments to suppliers for outstanding invoices.
14. Contribute to revenue and expenditure processing and reporting, including banking and year-end tasks.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have experience in a Finance Administrator role or similar positions such as Accounts Clerk or Finance Assistant. AAT Level 3 qualification is preferred, although candidates currently studying will also be considered. Proficiency in MS Excel at a Basic to Intermediate level is essential, along with a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with Sage 50 is advantageous, but candidates with experience in similar software will also be evaluated.
