About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Orthopaedic Imaging Specialist. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for managing and developing our MRI service to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical and radiography staff in the MRI department
  • Develop and implement efficient MRI protocols and procedures
  • Manage patient bookings and waiting lists
  • Train and develop staff to perform MRI scans in accordance with Trust policies
  • Collaborate with the MRI Superintendent Radiographer to promote continuous improvements in service delivery and quality

Person Specification

  • Essential criteria: SOR accredited cannulation, management training, in-depth knowledge of MRI physics
  • Desirable criteria: Postgraduate qualification in MRI or equivalent, previous experience of working at this level
