Senior Neonatal Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Neonatal Nurse to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Senior Neonatal Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to newborns and their families, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:- Assess and develop care plans for neonates, ensuring individualized and family-centered care.
- Lead and coordinate shifts, providing clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff.
- Participate in practice development and quality improvement initiatives, promoting evidence-based practice and excellence in care.
- Provide emotional support and education to parents and carers, empowering them to make informed decisions about their baby's care.
- Deputize for the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in their absence, taking charge of the Neonatal Unit and ensuring continuity of care.
- Registered Nurse (RGN/Midwife/Child) with NMC registration.
- Neonatal Intensive Care qualification and current NLS certification.
- Teaching and assessing qualification and/or mentorship module, Safeguarding Children training (Level 1-3).
- Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to ongoing learning.
- Certificate in leadership and management training.
- Appraisal training and/or Degree in Children's/Neonatal Nursing.
