Job Title: Senior Neonatal Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Neonatal Nurse to join our team at the Woodland Neonatal Unit, Watford General Hospital. As a Senior Neonatal Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess and develop care plans for neonates with complex medical needs
  • Lead and coordinate shifts, ensuring seamless care delivery
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote best practice and patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and guidelines
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RGN/Midwife/Child) with NMC
  • Current NLS certification
  • Teaching and assessing qualification and/or mentorship module
  • Safeguarding Children training (Level 1-3)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Certificate in leadership and management training
  • Appraisal training
  • Degree in Children's/Neonatal Nursing
