Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Lead Surveyor to join our Science & Higher Education division on a permanent, full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Surveyor, you will oversee the daily commercial management of our construction projects. Your role will involve:

  • Maximizing project profitability and cash flow
  • Managing subcontractor selection, including procurement and order placement
  • Documenting processes for transparency and sign-off
  • Conducting project valuation processes and interim valuations to optimize our commercial position
  • Overseeing the second stage tendering process
  • Producing accurate and timely financial reports
  • Leading change management initiatives, including loss and expense matters

Candidate Profile

To be considered for the Lead Surveyor position, you should possess:

  • Relevant experience in the construction industry with an understanding of its complexities
  • A proven track record of managing multiple projects of varying values and complexities
  • Familiarity with standard measurement forms and remeasurement management
  • An expert grasp of the relationship between cost and value
  • The ability to review and challenge construction and pre-construction schedules
  • Strong risk mitigation strategies
  • Proficiency in planning, maintaining, controlling, and reporting on project financials
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • A relevant professional qualification
