Senior Operations Manager

At Biffa Waste Services Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Traffic Dispatcher to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for effectively managing the day-to-day organization of our depot's operations, ensuring the best-in-class service delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the allocation and routing of vehicles to ensure efficient use of resources and optimal service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and O-licence requirements.
- Support employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality of service.
- Perform administrative tasks, including payroll and disposal information input.
- Proactively manage vehicle availability, driver coverage, and fleet maintenance.
- Contribute to cost control and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate completion of administrative tasks, including time sheets, tachograph records, and holiday rotas.
- Experience in a similar role in the services or logistics industry.
- National CPC qualification is desirable.
- Experience in managing a labour-intensive, multi-shift environment is advantageous.
- Local geographical knowledge is essential.
- First-line operational management experience is required.
