Rutland Health Primary Care Network is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our practice team and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake medicines reconciliation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of prescriptions and repeat prescriptions.
- Respond to patient queries and refer problems or concerns to the clinical pharmacist team.
- Participate in patient reviews and update patient records via clinics, domiciliary visits, and in nursing and residential care homes.
- Check the accuracy of medicines for prescriptions.
- Participate in medication audits.
- Provide advice and information to GPs, staff, and patients to support the improvement of prescribing safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and the appropriate use of medicines.
- Assist in the monitoring and management of prescribing budgets and prepare evidence-based resources and information to support cost-effective prescribing.
- Keep up to date with professional responsibilities and CPD requirements.
